Submission from Forrest Duryea [Bluffton, SC]

Whitson Duryea Farm

"Attached please find a picture of my Grandfather’s Whitson Duryea Historic Farm House. My Father Forest Duryea was born in this home in 1910, and the Farm/Home was reported to be about 100 years old at that time. However, I can’t confirm it age. The Farm House was located at the NE Corner of Duryea Road and Rte. 110, across from the Little White Church in the Wild. My Great Grandparents Edgar and Mary Jane Duryea donated the land for the Historic Cemetery adjacent to the above Church and it may have included the land for the Church as well."
